Six-Minute Ride on Detroit’s Dequindre Cut.

(research.videos.)  The Dequindre Cut Greenway is made from an old railroad that is sunken below street level and runs 1.6 miles from Gratiot Avenue to the Detroit River. The trail is currently being extended a bit northward to connect directly to the Eastern Market, and like the Atlanta Beltline and Midtown Greenway, the grassy swath running alongside the trail is protected as a future transit guideway. >> Ryan Gravel

Here’s my six-minute ride along its entire length.

Map it: at Eastern Market, at the Detroit River.
