Riding the Railpath

(research.)  I joined the bikeshare in Toronto and made a beeline for the first phase of the West Toronto Railpath, a multi-use trail alongside active railroad tracks just west of the center city. It was cool to see commuter trains passing and then discover a new station under construction along the route. A second phase will extend the path southward for a total of 3.3-miles, (5.3-km). The corridor connects several neighborhoods with a trail, upgraded transit connections, improved landscaping, attention to wildlife, and sculptures by local artists. A more challenging third phase may one day add another 1.2-km.
